About Smile (2022):

Based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept, Smile is an upcoming American psychological horror film written and directed by Parker Finn.

plot:

After witnessing a strange, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts to have terrifying experiences that she cannot explain. As an overwhelming terror begins to take over Rose’s life, she must confront her troubled past in order to survive and escape her terrifying new reality.

Smile Trailer:

The trailer start with a few people smiling, not just any smile, because it was weird and creepy.

And then, we see a therapis enters into an extremely weird conversation with a patient. While the patient is obviously experiencing some trauma because she claims to be able to see things that nobody else can. And something is beaming a smile at her. When she notices it again in front of the doctor, things take an unexpected turn.

The movie Smile will have its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 22, 2022, and Paramount Pictures plans to release it in the US on September 30, 2022.

The cast:

Sosie Bacon, who plays Dr. Rose Cotter, leads the cast. She became well-known for her breakthrough performance in Loverboy as well as for playing Skye Miller in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Kyle Gallner, who plays Joel, Caitlin Stasey, Rob Morgan, Kal Penn, and Robin Weigert also appear with her. Jessie T. Usher, who plays Trevor and is best known for his work on The Boys, also appears.
