Pinocchio new movie Small Review:
The much-anticipated live-action adaptation of Pinocchio is finally hitting theaters in 2022! The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks, looks to be a faithful retelling of the classic story.
Benjamin Evan Ainsworth’s Pinocchio experiences kidnapping, imprisonment, almost turning into a donkey, and being sucked up by a sea monster. One of the audience’s favorite characters seems to pass away in one scene, while other characters are thrown around, threatened, beaten over the head, imprisoned, lit on fire, mocked, and hunted by the sea monster. For younger or more sensitive viewers, some of the circumstances, nasty personalities, and bad behavior could be unpleasant.
The messages, though, are clear: Pinocchio needs to develop the ability to listen to his conscience, identify right from wrong, withstand temptation, and show himself to be brave, honest, and selfless. Geppetto (Tom Hanks), his creator/dad, and Jiminy Cricket (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), his mentor, are already role models for these traits. Numerous insults (including “dumb,” “loser,” “idiot,” “jerk,” and others) and occasional mocking are used. “Jackass,” “h-e-double hockey sticks,” “bollocks,” “blimey,” and “crock” are examples of other words.

Well, first than all, I’m satisfied with the movie, I watched the original one when I was a child and didn’t expect it to be the same. I love the fact that they included new characters and the walk under the sea would have been great. But I’m content with how it came in the end.
